Starting April 9, visitors to our complex will have the opportunity to see a unique photography exhibition by Ksawery Zamoyski. The exhibition, titled “HER/HAIR,” will be on display in the exhibition space on level +1 of the Plater building until May 11.
“HER/HAIR” is an artistic narrative about women, their strength, freedom, and the symbolism of hair across various social and cultural contexts. The series was inspired by events in Iran, including the 2017 protest by Vida Movahed, as well as the broader global women’s emancipation movement. Zamoyski’s photographs depict several women who, through studio portraiture, express their resistance to the restriction of freedom and all forms of violence.
“HER/HAIR” is a reflection on the role of hair as a tool of expression but also as a source of social pressure. Hair has long served as a carrier of meaning — from suffragettes and flappers, to Frida Kahlo’s artistic gestures, and contemporary acts of solidarity. The exhibition encourages viewers to consider how appearance shapes identity and interpersonal relationships.
Ksawery Zamoyski is a recognized portrait photographer whose work merges the contemporary medium of photography with elements of surrealism, symbolism, and classical art. His previous exhibitions – “Obrazowanie” (2023) and “Spotkania” (2024) – explored the image as a temporary form and the intimacy of the photographic studio. The artist lives and works in both London and Warsaw.
The exhibition will be open from April 9 to May 11 on level +1 of the Plater building.
We encourage you to plan a visit!
