‘In Limbo’ – an exhibition by Filip Moszant at Norblin Factory

From 3 to 31 July, we invite you to visit the exhibition at Norblin Factory. ‘In Limbo’ showcases the work of Filip Moszant, a Polish-French visual artist whose pieces strike a balance between gesture, structure and time. This is a unique opportunity to see large-format installations in a new and surprising context.

The exhibition ‘In Limbo’ tells the story of the second life of an image. Originally functioning in urban spaces, the works presented by Filip Moszant were exposed to light, rain, wind and the random glances of passers-by. Today, they return to the gallery not as new works but not as the same ones either – their surfaces bear the marks of time: creases, fading and wrinkles which have become an integral part of the composition.

In the enclosed display case, a process begins, inviting the viewer to reflect on the boundary between original and copy, work of art and everyday object, new and worn. Does a ‘used’ image still have an impact? Is the gesture of re-showing an image a form of recycling, a ritual or a necessity?

Filip Moszant, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw who was awarded the Rector’s Diploma, has been creating abstract works for years in which colour, detail and layering play a key role. His work is an intense interplay between control and impulse, gesture and structure. His works have been exhibited at the City Museum and the Royal Palace in Wrocław, as well as at the Bielska Jesień festival and the Coming Out competition. They are also included in prestigious collections, including those of PKO Bank Polski and the World Bank.

The exhibition In Limbo will be open to visitors from 3 to 31 July 2025 in Norblin Factory exhibition space – Plater building, Level +1.
