Sebastian “Junior” Jaryszek Art Exhibition at Norblin Factory

We cordially invite you to a unique art exhibition by one of Warsaw’s most renowned tattoo artists, Sebastian “Junior” Jaryszek. “The Year of the Dragon: Art Written in Images” is an artistic farewell to the Chinese Year of the Dragon. The vernissage will take place on January 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Namiarownia at Uwaga Piwo, and the exhibition will run until January 29. Admission to both the vernissage and the exhibition is free and open to everyone.

During the opening, the artist will share insights about his work, inspirations, and the concept behind the exhibition, reflecting on the passage of time, art, and the symbolism of the dragon – a central element of his work for over two decades. Approximately 40 paintings will be on display, including both new works and older pieces, such as one from the year 2000 and several borrowed from the artist’s friends for the occasion.

Sebastian “Junior” Jaryszek, a pioneer of the Polish tattoo scene, is also a celebrated painter who has long combined his passion for art with Chinese symbolism. The dragon, a recurring motif in his creations, symbolizes strength, transformation, and the fleeting nature of time. In this exhibition, dragons will appear in diverse and often whimsical contexts – from a dragon leaping out of a shoe to one resting beneath a mushroom.

The artist also has a personal connection to Norblin Factory. In 2009, together with painter Marcin Łukasiewicz, he spent a week creating large-scale artworks in the old hall of Ciągarnia II (now BioBazar). These works were showcased during the “Postcards from Norblin” vernissage.

“The Year of the Dragon: Art Written in Images” exhibition is open daily from 11:00 AM in the Namiarownia hall at Uwaga Piwo. Plater Building, Level 0, entrance near the currency exchange.

We look forward to seeing you!
