Fashion, art and design come together in one place. Norblin Factory recently hosted the premiere of ALTER EGO, the latest collection by EGO, created by designer Gaba Porabik in collaboration with sculptor Martha Mulawa. The launch was accompanied by a unique exhibition opening, where the collection was presented through an artistic experience combining sculpture, performance and functional objects.
Until the end of August, visitors can explore the ALTER EGO exhibition and Martha Mulawa’s sculptures on Level +1 of the Plater Building. On Level 0, EGO’s pop-up store offers pieces from the new collection alongside the brand’s bestselling designs.
Where Art Meets Fashion
ALTER EGO is the first chapter of EGO ARTS, a new line by EGO created to bring together the worlds of art, fashion and design. The collection is the result of a creative dialogue between Gaba Porabik and Martha Mulawa—two artists working in different disciplines who have found a common language through form, texture and emotion.
Gaba Porabik designed the collection using colour, texture and movement as her creative tools, while Martha Mulawa enriched it with distinctive sculptural details inspired by the human face and organic forms. The result is a series of handbags that go beyond their functional purpose, becoming moving works of artistic expression.
A Handbag That Evolves with Its Owner
The name of the collection refers to the idea of the many facets of one’s personality. Thanks to its modular construction and interchangeable elements, each handbag can change its appearance, becoming an expression of its owner’s individual style and identity. Every piece is also assigned a unique serial number, highlighting its one-of-a-kind character.
We invite you to visit the ALTER EGO exhibition on Level +1 of the Plater Building and the EGO pop-up store on Level 0. Both will be open until the end of August.
