Young energy, fresh sounds and summer evenings in the heart of Warsaw. Following the success of last year’s edition, the free concert series New City Sounds is returning to Norblin Factory. Starting on June 28, every summer Sunday at Teodor Werner Passage will feature performances by emerging artists associated with the Kayax label, as well as creators selected through a special competition organised by eBilet.
Summer Sundays at Norblin Factory will once again be all about live music. This year’s programme includes nine concerts showcasing young artists associated with Kayax, along with a special performance by the winner of the eBilet competition. The line-up brings together a variety of musical styles – from indie pop and alternative music, through electronic sounds, to indie rock – presenting some of the most exciting new voices on the Polish music scene.
The series will open with Natalia Marczuk (June 28), an artist working at the intersection of indie pop and folk, whose songs are filled with images of nature, travel and memories.
On July 5, Weronika Drybs will perform. Her music combines subtle pop with an alternative edge, drawing on emotion, sincerity and intimate soundscapes.
On July 12, the stage will belong to DWAKA, a duo blending electronic music and hyperpop with atmospheric, intimate compositions.
On July 19, organisers have prepared a musical surprise – the audience will discover the winner of the eBilet competition.
On July 26, Qncicka, a young singer-songwriter who transforms emotions into delicate piano-driven compositions, will take the stage.
August will begin with a concert by iamsleep (August 2), a trio from Wrocław balancing electronic sounds with live instruments, creating music full of emotion and cinematic storytelling.
On August 9, audiences will hear JOVI, a singer-songwriter entering a new chapter of her career. Her music combines pop sensitivity with an authentic and personal message.
A week later (August 16), Kindred Sūn will perform. The trio creates atmospheric indie rock rooted in space, harmony and an organic creative process.
On August 23, the stage will welcome Kuba Folwarczny, whose music draws on the finest traditions of guitar-driven alternative music and 1990s rock, while exploring the experiences of today’s generation.
The final concert of this year’s edition will belong to Magda Bereda (August 30) – singer, songwriter and one of the most recognisable young artists of the digital generation, who continues to successfully develop both her live and recording career.
The event is supported by eBilet, KinoGram, Food Town and the Norblin Factory Foundation. Media patronage is provided by Polish Radio Three (Trójka).
