Two new immersive experiences have debuted at Norblin Factory: “Titanic – Echoes of the Past” and “Gladiator – Legendary Arena.” From Friday, April 10, visitors can explore the stories of the Titanic and ancient Rome in a VR 4D format at Art Box Metaverse. These productions, which have gained popularity in major cities around the world, are now available in Poland for the first time.
Both experiences use multiuser VR technology, allowing participants to travel together into historical events and places. Each experience lasts approximately 45 minutes and combines educational elements with an engaging visual format. Up to 24 participants can take part at the same time, exploring the virtual world together and interacting with one another.
“Titanic – Echoes of the Past” is a moving journey into the interior of one of the most famous ships in the world. It is one of the most advanced immersive VR experiences, allowing visitors to dive into the story of the Titanic like never before. The narrative begins aboard the futuristic research vessel Calypso Proxima, where historian Alex Meerbaum introduces participants to the story of William Harbeck – a film pioneer who boarded the ship to document its maiden voyage and perished with it. From the very beginning, the experience builds tension and a sense of participating in a real expedition.
The descent to a depth of nearly 3,800 meters is one of the most striking moments. Guided by the artificial intelligence system DIVE, participants move through the darkness of the ocean, where silence, vastness and distant sea creatures such as jellyfish intensify the atmosphere. On the ocean floor lies a field of debris – hundreds of personal belongings once owned by passengers. Brooches, amulets and fragments of the ship’s hull become starting points for further stories.
“Gladiator – Legendary Arena” takes viewers to ancient Rome at the height of its power. It is an immersive journey into a world where the strength of the empire intertwines with everyday life, religion, politics and spectacles that shaped Roman society.
The story begins symbolically in the Elysian Fields, where participants are welcomed by Mars – the god of war and the mythical father of Rome. This introduction highlights the importance of divine order and destiny in ancient culture. Visitors are then guided by a young Gaius into a vibrant city – the largest metropolis of its time, home to over one million people. They walk through streets filled with merchants, craftsmen and residents, discovering the realities of life in the empire: trade in exotic goods, social structures, and the role of religion and rituals.
The central point of the experience is the Colosseum – the largest amphitheatre of antiquity, capable of holding up to 80,000 spectators. Participants explore its advanced architecture, the organization of the audience, and the importance of games as a political tool (“bread and circuses”) used to strengthen social unity and imperial authority.
Both experiences were developed based on extensive research and in collaboration with experts, enabling the creation of accurate historical reconstructions. Visitors can choose from five language versions: Polish, English, Portuguese, Spanish and Mandarin.
